Land-Use Planning

Site Investigations

Landworks conducted numerous site investigations, market research, analyses and most-appropriate use recommendations for BC Assets and Land Corporation (now Integrated Land Management Bureau) and the Vancouver International Airport Authority.
These projects entailed a preliminary review of selected provincial Crown lands and Airport lands, including site inspections, photographing all sites, conducting research and discussions with the appropriate local jurisdictions and assessing the sitesÕ development potential. Recommendations included options with regards to on-going property management, disposal or development.

While a few of the sites were found to be developed to their full potential, most were vacant sites and, in some cases, easily serviced.

One of the sites investigated showed signs of environmental degradation, and an environmental consultant was interviewed to learn the extent of remediation expected.
